Spring at Westonbirt

Last Wednesday we visited Westonbirt Arboretum to see the spring blossoms.

We arrived just in time to be treated to a guided walk around the Old Arboretum, learning lots about the history of the estate and also about the various species of trees.

We did unfortunately miss out on exploring Silk Wood due to the wet and windy weather, only braving the bridge for some photos and to test our courage going up the viewpoint. Instead of wandering around outside we spent the time warming up in the cafe and enjoying lunch, which was a nice end to our visit.
