While in Gloucester she visited both Fair Shares and The Friendship Cafe at the Chequers Bridge Community Center, as well as St James City Farm & Riding School.
Her visit was mainly around the work we’ve been doing through the pandemic, in particular with providing meals and food to vulnerable members of the local community. She met and spoke to many of our participants who have given their time over this last year to make life better for others in their neighbourhood.
She also popped in to our community wood workshop and met some of our younger participants, as well as The Friendship Cafe’s sewing studio where volunteers had been making masks as well as clothes for NHS workers during COVID-19.
