Greening Barton Street

We are working with Gloucester Wildlife Trust to bring some greenery to Barton Street.

So far we have refreshed the soil and replanted the existing planters dotted up and down Barton Street. The winter flowering plants have been donated by local supermarkets and garden centres. In the spring we are planning to add wild flowers to the mix. A small but determined band of local residents have been involved in the planting. Local shopkeepers are helping us maintain them by providing water when needed.

The next part of the plan involves children from a local school making some artworks which will be attached to the planters.
