OK so that’s not quite true. What they have done is provide some much needed help to finish off installing our outdoor pizza oven at our community allotment at St James City Farm. After building the base we realised the oven was far too heavy for us to actually move. Even with a team of eager volunteers, moving the oven by hand would have been far too dangerous. Along came the heroic Fire Service and used their special incident support unit (a fancy fire engine!) to effortlessly lift the oven into place.
So a huge thanks to the fine men and women of the fire service for helping to finish of this much anticipated community facility. We’ll let you know when the pizzas are ready!
