Organised by Lloyd, it was an event revolving made to coincide with the visit of the Knife Angel to Gloucester. It featured multiple live performances, both plays and spoken word poetry, by local artists on the impact of knife crime.
We would like to thank the public for coming out to support it, Gloucester Guildhall and their great staff behind the scenes, everyone who funded it, the caterers Caribbean Wrap, the Artists involved (JPDL, Fresh Air Foundations, Mr. Milise, Dread MC, Griz-0, Nic Ferguson, Rider Shafique) and also the cast of the two plays.
Cassius Cunningham (aged 10), Shelina Gordon, Jussara Nazare and Oliver Stockley who appeared in “Here He Stood”. Lee Doulglas, Kian Westcarr and Tia Callum who appeared in “ER” and also Emily Shilton who did the animations featured in the play.
Also thanks to Josh and Luciano, the filmmakers behind “Boy in the Corner”, who gave a preview and a talk about their film along with two of its stars.
We hope everyone enjoyed it and left with something to think about.
