Timebanking is introduce to the UK in 1998 by Fair Shares. After visiting Dr Edgar Cahn and seeing the Time Dollar Movement in America, Martin Simon wants to bring it to the UK. He begins development work from an office at City Works in Gloucester to create the first time bank in the country.
Weekly coffee mornings start at the city farm in Gloucester and a weekly coffee morning / IT session launches in Cheltenham.
