Projects Making Friends Stonehouse Allotment Project
The Fair Shares Stonehouse allotment is a plot for communal use and is overseen by participant Clare Sheridan. Members come when they can and help with what they are able to do. The site has some raised beds and wide paths so less able people can join in with planting, weeding and harvesting. Students from the Apperley Centre help during term time. Members earn their time bank hours and also a share of the harvest that day.Clare and husband Paul, can be found at the allotment most Thursdays from 9am to 12pm.
The Fair Shares Stonehouse allotment project was set up by Clare and Margaret Horton in 2012.
